Pastry Chef / Dessert Chef
I.C Waffles | Greerton, Tauranga
We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef / Dessert Chef to join our team as Second in Charge (2IC) at I.C Waffles.
This is a hands-on, creative role suited to someone who genuinely loves desserts, works efficiently, and can help run the store day to day.
Hours: 30 hours per week
• Approx. 5 x 6-hour shifts
• Includes one weekend night and Friday night
• Roster to be arranged and finalised
• We are flexible for school pick-ups and family commitments
Pay: $26 per hour
• Opportunity for pay increase for the right person based on productivity, skill, and knowledge
The Role Includes
• Manufacturing all house-made products
• Preparing and cooking menu items
• Serving customers
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen standards
• Supporting day-to-day store operations as 2IC
• Contributing creatively to desserts and production
What We’re Looking For
• Previous experience in a bakery or dessert bar and/or relevant qualifications
• Strong work ethic and enthusiasm
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Confidence to step into a 2IC role when required
